Service Description

Rides are typically around 90 minutes from arrival to departure but due to variability in time to get saddled up and speed of group please allow for 2 hours. Maximum of 4 riders in group. An independent rider is 16+ and can handle their own horse, including stopping and steering. An assisted rider is one who needs the horse to be led. Horses are quiet, gentle and have had extensive training; however, they are still live animals with their own brain. Successful horseback riding is a partnership between horse and rider where the rider is an active participant. Riders must be active participants in steering and stopping and be mature and confident enough to handle the unexpected, such as a horse "spooking" at wildlife, an obstacle on the trail or another rider having difficulty.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule please contact us prior to 24 hours before the scheduled time. Generally there are no refunds if it is less than 24 hours before the scheduled time; however, we may make exceptions. Please contact us as soon as possible. In case of inclement weather or other emergencies with less than 24 hours notice please contact us via phone or text 860-334-6340. We will also monitor weather conditions and may contact you to reschedule if necessary. If RHF is initiating the reschedule and a suitable time can't be found we will issue a refund. No shows with no communication will be charged the full amount -no reschedule/no refund.
